Evaluation of localization of lead and nickel in plant cells of Amaranthus sp. and Brassica sp. absorbed from mine spoil waste [PDF]
A detailed survey was undertaken in the sewage water contaminated areas of Coimbatore to select the natural hyper accumulators to rehabilitate the contaminated mine spoils. From this experiment the Pb and Ni accumulators, Amaranthus sp.

Dynamic analysis of double-helical gear system considering effect of oil film among meshing teeth
The oil film among meshing teeth is just like a spring-damping element, and it can dominate the friction and meshing characteristics of the gear pair and influence its dynamic performances further.

Model arenes hydrogenation with silica-supported rhodium nanoparticles:The role of the silica grains and of the solvent on catalytic activities [PDF]
Silica-supported rhodium-based nanoheterogeneous catalysts were easily prepared by impregnation with a pre-stabilized colloidal suspension. The resulting catalysts contain rhodium nanoparticles well-dispersed in the silica pores with a mean size of 5 nm.

AbstractThe laser microtome (LMT) has been designed to slice biological tissue and various materials with high precision. The cutting process is performed by ultra short laser pulses in the near infrared region, inducing an optical breakdown below the surface of the material. Biological Tissue can be processed in its native state without prior fixation

Microtomy of Large Particle Zeolites for Tem [PDF]
ABSTRACTUniformly thin specimens of powders, suitable for electron microscopy, can be prepared by ultramicrotomy. There is a size limit to the particles that can be studied since larger particles tend to be dislodged from the available resins when microtomed. A method is described to strengthen the binding of the organic resin to the inorganic zeolite,

Preparation of Zeolites for TEM Using Microtomy [PDF]
ABSTRACTThe application of microtomy to Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) specimen preparation of zeolite catalysts is explained. Using a new acrylic resin (LR White®) thin sections (≤60 nm) may be cut with relative ease. Although the details described are specific to catalysts, microtomy and the use of the acrylic resin are applicable to any hard
