Frequency stabilization by microwave absorption
Physica, 1951Abstract The paper describes a method of stabilizing the frequency of an oscillator by means of microwave absorption lines. Stabilization has been obtained for a number of ammonia lines near 1.25 cm wavelength, and a stability of ± 6 parts in 107 measured. Possibilities for other wavelengths are considered.
