Three-dimensional graphene supported Fe3O4 coated by polypyrrole toward enhanced stability and microwave absorbing properties

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2020
The composites GFPs were prepared through anchoring the microspheres of Fe3O4 cores coated with polypyrrole shells (Fe3O4@Ppy) on the three-dimensional (3D) graphene areogel (GA) with the one-step chemical reduction method.

The Microwave Thermal Thruster Concept [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The microwave thermal thruster heats propellant via a heat-exchanger then expands it through a rocket nozzle to produce thrust. The heat-exchanger is simply a microwave-absorbent structure through which propellant flows in small channels. Nuclear thermal

Greatly enhanced absorption of non-resonant microwave fields by ultracold molecules near a Feshbach resonance

open access: yes, 2010
We show that the probability of the collision-induced absorption of non-resonant microwave photons by a gas of ultracold molecules is dramatically enhanced near a Feshbach scattering resonance.

Spectral properties of microwave graphs with local absorption

open access: yes, 2014
The influence of absorption on the spectra of microwave graphs has been studied experimentally. The microwave networks were made up of coaxial cables and T junctions. First, absorption was introduced by attaching a 50 Ohm load to an additional vertex for

Bimetallic (NiFe) and Trimetallic (NiFeCr) Nanoalloys from Metal Oxides Using a Microwave Hydrogen Plasma

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Bimetallic (NiFe) and trimetallic (NiFeCr) nanoalloys (NAs) are synthesized using corresponding oxide mixtures using microwave hydrogen plasma within a few milliseconds. The process simultaneously 1) reduces metal oxides to metals; 2) downsizes the particles from micrometers to nanometers; and 3) blends the metals to form NAs.

Simulation and measurement of optimized microwave reflectivity for carbon nanotube absorber by controlling electromagnetic factors

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
Heat-treatments may change the defect and surface organic groups of carbon nanotubes (CNTs), and lead to significant changes in the microwave electromagnetic parameter of CNTs.
