A Balanced Filtering Quasi-Yagi Antenna With Low Cross-Polarization Levels and High Common-Mode Suppression

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
A balanced planar quasi-Yagi antenna integrated with a bandpass filtering response is presented in this paper. The proposed balanced antenna consists of a balanced stepped-impedance microstrip-slotline transition structure, a driver dipole, a parasitic ...

Transducers Across Scales and Frequencies: A System‐Level Framework for Multiphysics Integration and Co‐Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

Exploiting multiple antennas for synchronization [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Orthogonal frequency-division multiplex (OFDM) offers a low-complexity solution to equalization in multipath channels but does so by increasing the symbol period.

Ultrafast (1‐5 sec) Lamination of Perovskite Solar Cells With Self‐Encapsulation Using Rapid Joule Heating

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Halide perovskite solar cells are fabricated with self‐encapsulation by lamination between two glass substrates using rapid Joule heating, yielding a 99% reduction in lamination time compared to previous studies. An 18% efficient cell is laminated in 5 s, demonstrating the potential for scalable manufacturing. ABSTRACT Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are

A Wide-Angle and PON Fully Polarimetric Retrodirective Array at the X Band

open access: yesMicromachines
A new type of fully polarimetric retrodirective array (RDA) using a PON-type structure is proposed in this paper. The fully polarimetric property is the result of the proposed phase conjugation circuits, which perform phase conjugation processing on the ...

Probing Near‐Field EM Fluctuations in Superparamagnetic CoFeB With NV Quantum Dephasometry

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
We non‐invasively investigate the superparamagnetic spin dynamics of a 1.1 nm CoFeB layer by probing its near‐field EM fluctuations using NV centers‐based quantum dephasometry. Our findings are further supported by theoretical modeling and SQUID‐based magnetization characterization. These results provide critical insight into the magnetization dynamics
