A Radar Echo Simulator for the Synthesis of Randomized Training Data Sets in the Context of AI-Based Applications

open access: yesSensors
Supervised machine learning algorithms usually require huge labeled data sets to produce sufficiently good results. For many applications, these data sets are still not available today, and the reasons for this can be manifold. As a solution, the missing

Boron‐Doped Nano‐Crystalline Coated Carbon Fibers for Phasic Dopamine Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This uniform coating presents a mix of graphitic and diamond‐like carbon to create a mechanically and electrically robust alternative for the electrochemical detection of dopamine. The electrodes in this work possess the equivalent sensitivity to the state‐of‐the‐art FSCV dopamine detecting electrodes, whilst demonstrating an ability to withstand ...

PHEMT transistor models for accurate CAD of MMIC amplifier

open access: yesJournal of Telecommunications and Information Technology, 2002
Accurate modeling of microwave monolithic integrated circuits (MMICs) is very desirable for the reason of high fabrication costs of GaAs circuits. Designers are trying to achieve the ``first trial success`` to lower costs and accelerate the introduction

Silicon nitride microwave photonic circuits

open access: yesOptics Express, 2013
We present an overview of several microwave photonic processing functionalities based on combinations of Mach-Zehnder and ring resonator filters using the high index contrast silicon nitride (TriPleX™) waveguide technology. All functionalities are built using the same basic building blocks, namely straight waveguides, phase tuning elements and ...

Self‐Cooling Molecular Spin Qudits

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A material made of [GdEr] molecular dimers can encode a qudit and perform as a magnetic refrigerant. Microwave resonant pulses coherently manipulate its 16 spin states, while direct demagnetization measurements cool the material and a device down to temperatures below 1 K.

Magnetic spectra and Richter aftereffect relaxation in CexY3−xFe5O12 ferrites

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2016
The static and dynamic magnetic properties of cerium (Ce) doped yttrium iron garnet CexY3−xFe5O12 (x=0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.15, 0.2) ferrites (YIG) have been reported in this work. The ferrites were fabricated by the traditional solid-state reaction method. All
