High-Power Microwave Filters

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1958
In order to obtain filters capable of handling very high power, the use of radial lines and uniform line discontinuities was investigated as the most promising approach. In this connection, it was necessary to consider equivalent circuit and interaction effects for H-mode radial line mated at each end to uniform TE 10 waveguide for taper angles of 45 ...

Microwave Filters--1965

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1965
A review of recent and current work on microwave filters is presented, and an extensive bibliography of recent articles is appended. The review is largely qualitative and pictorial, rather than mathematical. Among the microwave filter topics discussed are band-pass filters with cascaded lifes or cavities; band-pass and band-stop filters with stubs and ...

A Reconfigurable Microwave Combline Filter

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, 2016
A general cascaded filter design technique is implemented to get a tunable narrow-band filter response based on the general Chebyshev bandpass filter. A cavity combline microwave filter is fabricated by cascading two asymmetrical filters without using an isolator between them.

Microwave Filter Design [PDF]

open access: possible
Filters are an essential part of telecommunications and radar systems and are key items in the performance and cost of such systems, especially in the increasingly congested spectrum. There has been a particularly marked growth in the cellular communications industry in recent years.

Fractal microwave filters

2010 IEEE 11th Annual Wireless and Microwave Technology Conference (WAMICON), 2010
In order to meet the ever increasing demand for miniaturization of RF and microwave filters, the suitability of fractal resonators has been examined and a complete design method of miniaturized fractal filters has been developed.

Microwave Communication Filters

1971 2nd European Microwave Conference, 1971
This paper considers the various design procedures for microwave bandpass channel filters which are of sufficiently narrow fractional bandwidth such that they may be designed directly from low-pass prototypes. Initially, the more conventional forms are considered e.g., (Thompson, Butterworth, Chebychev, Elliptic Function etc.) and typical physical ...

Microwave superconducting filters

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1991
Four-pole, parallel-coupled microstrip line filters were fabricated using epitaxial YBa/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/O/sub 7/ (YBCO) films deposited by off-axis sputtering on LaAlO/sub 3/ substrates. Filters were made with and without superconducting ground planes.

Comparison of Tunable Microwave Bandpass Filters

2018 11th International Symposium on Communication Systems, Networks & Digital Signal Processing (CSNDSP), 2018
The development of software-defined radio and Radio-over-Fiber solutions for the future 5G systems necessitates the availability of small, cost-effective and tunable microwave filters. Possibility of integration is another requirement. As variable capacitance diodes are lossy in the millimeter wave (mmW) region, other solutions are utilized, e.g ...
