Reconfigurable microwave filters using memristors

International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, 2017
SummaryMemristor‐based technology could be utilized to enhance the performance of many radio frequency (RF)/microwave subsystems, such as filters. In this paper, we propose that memristors can potentially be used as switches for designing a reconfigurable dual‐band RF/microwave planar filter.

A Non-reflecting Branching Filter for Microwaves

Bell System Technical Journal, 1948
Microwave branching filters are required as integral parts of multi-channel microwave radio relay systems. These filters must have characteristics which are difficult to attain if one attempts to extend familiar lower frequency techniques to the microwave region. A novel network configuration, through which currently anticipated requirements can be met

Reduced time microwave filter tuning

2015 7th International Conference on Electronics, Computers and Artificial Intelligence (ECAI), 2015
A new algorithm for reduced time microwave filter tuning is presented, it being based on mapping the current detuned filter on the golden unit (original) tuned filter. The algorithm minimizes the time acquisition trying not to affect the accuracy of measurement, consequently preserving the main parameters of the filter.

TUNABLE ACTIVE FILTERS FOR RF AND MICROWAVE APPLICATIONS

Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, 2014
In this paper, we present a low-voltage tunable active filter for microwave applications. The proposed filter is based on a single-transistor active inductor (AI), that allows the reduction of circuit area and power consumption. The three active-cell bandpass filter has a 1950 MHz center frequency with a -1 dB flat bandwidth of 10 MHz (Q ≈ 200), a ...

Microwave Filter Design

2013
Filters are two-port devices designed in such a way so that a group of specified frequencies is allowed to pass with little attenuation, while unwanted frequencies are rejected. They can also be designed to symmetrically or asymmetrically modify the amplitude and/or phase of a signal.

Niobium Tunable Microwave Filter

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2009
A superconductor bandpass filter with tunable central frequency in the range of 2-3.5 GHz has been implemented using superconducting quantum interference devices (SQUIDs). The filter is designed using two pi-network resonators connected by a transmission line. Both resonators have a SQUID inductor with a tuning range of 65-200 pH, controlled by current
