Microwave Imaging of the Breast [PDF]

open access: yesTechnology in Cancer Research & Treatment, 2005
Microwave imaging for medical applications has been of interest for many years. Recently, microwave imaging for breast cancer detection has gained attention due to advances in imaging algorithms, microwave hardware and computational power. The breast is relatively translucent to microwaves, accessible for imaging, and there appears to be a significant ...

Microwave Imaging by Deep Learning Network: Feasibility and Training Method

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2020
Microwave image reconstruction based on a deep learning method is investigated in this article. The neural network is capable of converting measured microwave signals acquired from a $24 \times 24$ antenna array at 4 GHz into a $128 \times 128$ image.

Table of contents [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Signal Processing Magazine, 2010
We aim to present a tutorial on the detection, parameter estimation and statistical analysis of compact sources (far galaxies, galaxy clusters and Galactic dense emission regions) in cosmic microwave background observations. The topic is of great relevance for current and future cosmic microwave background missions because the presence of compact ...
