Rainfall Detection and Rainfall Rate Estimation Using Microwave Attenuation
Eight microwave links operating at frequencies ranging from 6 to 8 GHz and with path lengths ranging from 5.7 to 37.4 km traversing the city of Seoul, Korea are used to detect rainfall and estimate path-averaged rainfall rates.

Hydrometeor Identification Using Multiple-Frequency Microwave Links: A Numerical Simulation
A method for identifying hydrometeor types (rain, graupel, and wet snow) based on a microwave link is proposed in this paper. The measured hydrometeor size distribution (HSD) data from the winters of 2014 to 2019 in Nanjing, China, were used to carry out

Use of commercial microwave links as scintillometers: potential and limitations towards evaporation estimation [PDF]
Scintillometers are used to estimate path-integrated evaporation and sensible heat fluxes. Commercial microwave links (CMLs), such as are used in cellular telecommunication networks, are similar line-of-sight instruments that also measure signal ...

Evaporation measurements using commercial microwave links as scintillometers [PDF]
As the spatial coverage of evaporation observations is limited, we propose a novel, opportunistic method to estimate evaporation in which we consider commercial microwave links (CMLs), such as used in cellular telecommunication networks, in combination ...

Symmetric solutions of problem of synthesis of three-link stepped microwave filter of Butterworth
It is demonstrated, that the problem of synthesis of three-link stepped microwave filter of Butterworth has two symmetric solutions. These solutions have equal wave impedances of the first and last links.

A measurement campaign to assess sources of error in microwave link rainfall estimation [PDF]
We present a measurement campaign to address several error sources associated with rainfall estimates from microwave links in cellular communication networks. The core of the experiment is provided by three co-located microwave links installed between
