Continuous microwave photon counting by semiconductor-superconductor hybrids [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters 133, 217001, 2024
The growing interest in quantum information has enabled the manipulation and readout of microwave photon states with high fidelities. The presently available microwave photon counters, based on superconducting circuits, are limited to non-continuous pulsed mode operation, requiring additional steps for qubit state preparation before an actual ...

Microwave Monitoring by Compact Carbon Nanotube Photo‐Thermoelectric Sensors Beyond the Diffraction Limit Toward Ultrabroadband Non‐Destructive Inspections

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.
This work overcomes long‐standing crucial technical difficulties in miniaturizing micro‐wave detectors, caused by the longer‐wavelength diffraction limit, with carbon nanotube (CNT) film photo‐thermoelectric sensors. The CNT film sensor exhibits sensitive micro‐wave detection operations with signal‐to‐noise ratios over 1400 at compact device sizes ...

Quantum microwave photonic mixer with a large spurious-free dynamic range [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
As one of the most fundamental functionalities of microwave photonics, microwave frequency mixing plays an essential role in modern radars and wireless communication systems. However, the commonly utilized intensity modulation in the systems often leads to inadequate spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) for many sought-after applications.

Electrospun Vanadium Pentoxide (V2O5) Nanofibers for Enhanced Humidity Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.
Vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) nanofibers (NF) fabricated via electrospinning are analyzed and used for room‐temperature humidity sensing. Optimally performing porous NFs (∅ 200–500 nm) with high surface area (14.8 m2 g−1) are achieved at an annealing temperature of 500 °C.
