Evaluation of the Influence of MgO and La2O3 on the Fast Sintering of Mullite [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials Research, 2015
The influence of MgO and La2O3 on the fast sintering of mullite was evaluated in this work. High-purity mullite was doped with MgO and La2O3, conventionally sintered, fast sintered, and microwave-sintered in rapid sintering cycles.

Densification kinetics of Alumina During Microwave Sintering

open access: yes, 1992
Some kinetics parameters of alumina during microwave sintering were studied and compared with that during conventional sintering. The results demonstrated that the sintering rates for microwave processing were much greater than that for conventional ...

Sintering‐Driven Modulation of Lattice Dynamics, Elastic Behavior, and Dielectric Response in Al–Sn Co‐Doped Zinc Ferrite Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
Sintering ZnAl0.1Sn0.1Fe1.8O4 nanoparticles at 1200°C optimizes structural lattice dynamics, significantly enhancing both macroscopic elastic stiffness and high‐frequency dielectric response through synergistic Al3+ stabilization and Sn4+‐driven charge transport. ABSTRACT In this work, ZnAl0.1Sn0.1Fe1.8O4 (ZASFO) ferrites were synthesized via a sol–gel

Engineering Biochar‐Derived Functional Materials for High‐Performance Supercapacitors: Design Principles, Mechanisms, and Scalable Strategies

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Biochar has emerged as a useful and adaptable source of carbon for supercapacitor electrodes. Its value comes from the way biomass chemistry, thermal conversion, and activation conditions shape the resulting pore network, surface groups, and degree of carbon ordering.

Preparation of BaAl2O4 by microwave sintering

open access: yesTransactions of Nonferrous Metals Society of China, 2010
The desulfurater (BaAl2O4) was successfully synthesized with BaCO3 and Al(OH)3 powders as raw materials by microwave sintering method. The mass loss of raw materials and the characterization of the outcome were investigated by means of TG-DSC, XRD and optical microscopy. The reaction mechanism was discussed.
