Distributed Microwave Wireless Power Transfer with Backscatter Feedback

2021 IEEE Wireless Power Transfer Conference (WPTC), 2021
In recent, microwave power transfer (MPT) for IoT devices has been studied. The distributed MPT can supply power efficiently by cooperate multiple transmit antenna arranged distributed in a relatively wide area. In this paper, we propose a method for distributed beam control by closed-loop with a backscatter signal from the receiver.

Near-Field Power-Focused Directional Radiation in Microwave Wireless Power Transfer System

IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics, 2021
This article presents a novel architecture of power generator in microwave power transmission (MPT), which serves as the transmitter with directional radiation in the MPT system. A new structure based on quadrature modulation and demodulation technique is proposed, which features low cost, easy implementation, and high performance.

Wireless power beam device using microwave power transfer

2014 IEEE Wireless Power Transfer Conference, 2014
The authors proposed a novel WPT system using ceramic dielectric resonators. Unloaded Q of ceramic resonator is several tens of thousands depending on the material. Thus, we can expect much longer transmission distance by using ceramic resonator. It was confirmed that the power transfer of this system was conducted by a combination both of coupling in ...

Enhancement of received power in far-field microwave wireless power transfer

2020 IEEE Wireless Power Transfer Conference (WPTC), 2020
A parabolic dish reflector (PDR) is designed and fabricated to convert the plane wave to spherical wave at the focus. The performance of PDR made from aluminum and Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) coated with aluminum is carried out. It is observed that the performance of the PDR made from PDMS is same as that made from aluminum, thus the proposed PDR made ...

Integration of Localization and Wireless Power Transfer Using Microwave

2021
This paper proposes a system to realize simultaneous power supply and localization for indoor Internet of Things (IoT) devices. The power supply to IoT devices is realized via microwave power transfer using numerous distributed access points (APs). The proposed system realizes efficient power transmission by controlling the phase of microwaves from ...

Microwave-based Wireless Power Transfer using Beam Scanning for Wireless Sensors

IEEE EUROCON 2019 -18th International Conference on Smart Technologies, 2019
In this paper, it shows simple method to find the wireless sensor nodes for efficient Microwave-based Wireless Power Transfer(MW-WPT). The beam scan method scans the effective charging area through the previously defined beam-steering look-up-table related on the physical characteristics of power transmission antenna.
