Reducing Microwave Absorption with Chaotic Microwaves
2017We study the response of a two-level quantum system to a chaotic signal using numerical methods and compare it to the response to a sinusoidal signal. We expect the largest response for sinusoidal driving functions, because the Schrodinger equation is linear. The method is based on numerical solutions of the Schrodinger solution of the two-level system,

Conductivity of Plasma to Microwaves
Physical Review, 1959Plasma conductivities for electrons with a Maxwellan energy distribution are evaluated for the cases in which the collision cross section is (i) velocity independent and (ii) inversely proportional to the velocity. The corresponding distribution functions of relaxation times are discussed. (auth)
