Huygens’ metasurfaces from microwaves to optics: a review

open access: yesNanophotonics, 2018
In this article, the basic principles and the main applications of Huygens’ metasurfaces (HMSs) are reviewed from microwaves to optics. In general, HMSs comprise a thin layer of orthogonal electric and magnetic dipoles, which form an array of Huygens ...

Correlations in interfering electrons irradiated by nonclassical microwaves [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review A 66, 033813 (2002), 2003
Electron interference in mesoscopic devices irradiated by external non-classical microwaves, is considered. In the case of one-mode microwaves, it is shown that both the average intensity and the spectral density of the interfering electrons are sensitive to the quantum noise of the microwaves.

Performance Comparison of Reflector- and Planar-Antenna Based Digital Beam-Forming SAR

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2009
The trend in the conception of future spaceborne radar remote sensing is clearly toward the use of digital beamforming techniques. These systems will comprise multiple digital channels, where the analog-to-digital converter is moved closer to the antenna.

Remotely sensed transport in microwave photoexcited GaAs/AlGaAs two-dimensional electron system [PDF]

open access: yesAppl. Phys. Lett. 102, 242113 (2013), 2013
We demonstrate a strong correlation between the magnetoresistive and the concurrent microwave reflection from the microwave photo-excited GaAs/AlGaAs two-dimensional electron system (2DES). These correlations are followed as a function of the microwave power, the microwave frequency, and the applied current.
