Thermal properties of the middle-aged pulsar J1741-2054 [PDF]
We present results of the spectral analysis of the X-ray emission from the middle-aged Fermi pulsar J1741$-$2054 using all Chandra archival data collected in 2010 and 2013. We confirm early findings by Romani et al. 2010 that the pulsar spectrum contains a thermal emission component.

Prospect of Detecting X-Ray Halos Around Middle-Aged Pulsars with eROSITA [PDF]
The detection of extended TeV $\gamma$-ray emission (dubbed "TeV halos") from Geminga and Monogem pulsars by HAWC collaboration implies that the halo-like morphologies around middle-aged pulsars may be common. The $\gamma$-rays above 10 TeV are thought to arise from inverse Compton (IC) scattering of relativistic electrons/positrons in the pulsar halos

Always intended to celebrate the Incarnation, Christmas became a time to honour the little baby in the manger and his loving mother, as part of a spiritual shift towards remembering the human Jesus. Although Kalends traditions

Insights into Age-Related Functional Brain Changes during Audiovisual Integration Tasks: A Comprehensive EEG Source-Based Analysis [PDF]
The seamless integration of visual and auditory information is a fundamental aspect of human cognition. Although age-related functional changes in Audio-Visual Integration (AVI) have been extensively explored in the past, thorough studies across various age groups remain insufficient. Previous studies have provided valuable insights into agerelated AVI

Aging is accompanied by a decline in memory and other brain functions. Physical exercise may mitigate this decline through the modulation of factors participating in the crosstalk between skeletal muscle and the brain, such as neurotrophins and oxidative

Geometric Atlas of the Middle Ear and Paranasal Sinuses for Robotic Applications [PDF]
In otolaryngologic surgery, more and more robots are being studied to meet the clinical needs of operating rooms. However, to help design and optimize these robots, the workspace must be precisely defined taking into account patient variability. The aim of this work is to define a geometric atlas of the middle ear and paranasal sinuses for endoscopic ...
