Cross‐Scale Hierarchical Targeted Delivery System Based on Small‐Scale Magnetic Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This article reviews a cross‐scale hierarchical targeted delivery system that integrates magnetic continuum robots and magnetic microrobots. By combining rapid long‐range navigation with precise microscale targeting, the system overcomes key limitations of single‐scale approaches.

Magnetic Micro‐ and Nanorobots for Precision Thrombolysis: Design Strategies and Translational Challenges

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Micro‐ and nanorobots for targeted thrombolysis. This perspective elaborates on the clinical indication of blood clot disorders and current limitations for treatment. As a novel, alternative solution, micro‐ and nanorobots can be used to treat and break down thrombi.

Prognosis in middle cerebral artery occlusion. [PDF]

open access: yesStroke, 1985
The natural history of MCA occlusion has become increasingly important since the surgical option of EC/IC bypass surgery has been available. The clinical course of 24 patients with angiographically-demonstrated occlusion of the MCA artery was reviewed. Eight patients presented with a major disabling stroke and five of these died during the acute phase ...

Phosphorylation‐Facilitated CKB Lactylation At K11 By GCN5 Enhances Creatine Kinase Activity and Mitigates Neuronal Damage After Cerebral Ischemia‐Reperfusion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study uncovers hierarchical coordination between K11 lactylation and S199 phosphorylation of CKB in cerebral ischemia‐reperfusion injury. Such dual modifications potentiate CKB enzymatic function, remodel energy metabolism, alleviate oxidative stress and neuronal damage, and represent a viable therapeutic target for stroke treatment.

Endovascular Therapy for Isolated Cervical Internal Carotid Artery Occlusion

open access: yesStroke: Vascular and Interventional Neurology
Background Guidelines on endovascular therapy for acute ischemic stroke do not include isolated cervical internal carotid artery (cICA) occlusions. The effect of treating these lesions remains unclear.

Tropomyosin 1 Promotes Platelet Adhesion and Clot Contraction Separate from Its Roles in Developmental Hematopoiesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Genome‐wide association studies (GWAS) link the Tropomyosin 1 (Tpm1) locus to quantitative blood trait variation, but related mechanisms are unclear. Tpm1 encodes an actin‐binding protein that regulates actin filament diversity, cell adhesion, signaling, and actomyosin contractility.

Occlusion of the Middle Cerebral Artery Branch Mimicking Aneurysm [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Korean Neurosurgical Society, 2007
A 26-year-old man was admitted to our department due to intermittent left hemiparesis for 3 months. Magnetic resonance image showed subacute infarction in the right precentral gyrus. Digital subtraction angiography and magnetic resonance angiography revealed an aneurysmal protrusion at the right middle cerebral artery (MCA) bifurcation.

Modulation of miR‐23b Wnt/β‐catenin Axis Strengthens Endothelial Barrier Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Early blood‐brain barrier (BBB) disruption contributes to stroke and CNS disease pathology. miR‐23b was identified as a regulator of BBB integrity in brain endothelial cells. Inhibition of miR‐23b enhanced barrier‐associated properties, promoted repair‐related signaling, and reduced BBB leakage in experimental stroke models, supporting further ...

Engineering Approaches to Modify Immunomodulatory Functions of Mesenchymal Stromal Cells (MSCs): Tissue Regeneration and Clinical Application

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) show promise for treating immune‐related disorders through immunomodulation and tissue regeneration. This review gives a brief overview of current clinical approval of MSC therapies. It also discussed how bioengineering, including genetic modification, biomaterial delivery, extracellular vesicles, and iPSC‐derived MSCs,
