Middle jurassic brachiopods from Ellsworth Land, Antarctica

Abstract Flabellirhynchia australensis n.sp. is described from two localities in eastern Ellsworth Land, Antarctica. At one locality it is associated with Middle Bajocian ammonites. Its position in Flabellirhynchia is based on comparison with F. concinna Crickmay.

Middle and Upper Jurassic faunas have a wide distribution in the Canadian Arctic. The following index ammonites indicate the presence of various stages: Leioceras opa/inum, Pseudolioceras m'c/intocki (see Frebold, 1960) , and Erycites cf. E. howelli (lower Bajocian) ; Cranocephalites borealis and C. warreni n. sp.

Middle Jurassic Gastropods from Xizang (Tibet), China

This paper describes the Middle Jurassic gastropods from the Marl member of the Daheishan Formation in the Chuanba Coal Mine of Gerze, Xizang (Tibet). 9 species of gastropods occurred in there. Among them 3 species are new, the other 6 species are all known to appear in the Middle Jurassic Bathonian.
