Multiple paths of deuterium fractionation in protoplanetary disks

open access: yes, 2018
We investigate deuterium chemistry coupled with the nuclear spin-state chemistry of H$_2$ and H$_3^+$ in protoplanetary disks. Multiple paths of deuterium fractionation are found; exchange reactions with D atoms, such as HCO$^+$ + D, are effective in ...

Understanding preferences for nature's contributions to people between and within social actors sheds insights for inclusive conservation

open access: yesPeople and Nature, Volume 8, Issue 1, Page 65-80, January 2026.
Abstract Despite calls for wider inclusion of diverse actors in conservation management, researchers tend to lump actors together into one group, potentially overlooking heterogeneity within the groups themselves—in turn, hampering inclusiveness. The risk of stereotyping social actors and oversimplifying their differentiated preferences for Nature's ...

Hardening and Hollowing Out Private Property: Rentiership, Dispossession, and Planetary Extraction in the Marcellus Shale

open access: yesAntipode, Volume 58, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Southwestern Pennsylvania (SWPA) has long been an energy extractive periphery, continuously remade through cycles of dispossession and accumulation. Shared dysphoric experiences activate identity fusion, but not forever

open access: yesBritish Journal of Social Psychology, Volume 65, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Identity fusion is a synergistic union of the personal self and target of fusion that predicts extreme behaviours on its behalf. Previous work identified that intense shared dysphoric experiences cause fusion with groups, but no research to date has investigated changes in fusion before, during and after a collective traumatic experience.
