Endoscopic Transnasal Apicoectomy for Odontogenic Maxillary Sinusitis

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, EarlyView.
Endoscopic transnasal apicoectomy (ETA) is a novel multidisciplinary technique that combines endoscopic sinus surgery with apicoectomy via a transnasal approach. ETA enables direct access to periapical lesions while preserving the causative tooth. Our initial experience suggests that this minimally invasive approach is safe, feasible, and effective for

Endodontic management of radix entomolaris with middle mesial canal –A case report

open access: yesIP Indian Journal of Conservative and Endodontics, 2020
Mandibular molars exhibit variations in its internal anatomy; one among those is the presence of an extra canal in the mesial root called as middle mesial (MM) canal. Variation in the number of roots and canal morphology is not scarce. Presence of an additional root when found disto-lingually called as Radix entomolaris.

Analysis of the Internal Anatomy of Distal Root Canals of Mandibular Molars: A Micro‐Computed Tomography Study

open access: yesX-Ray Spectrometry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Detailed knowledge of the internal anatomy of the root canal system and its variations is essential for selecting appropriate endodontic treatment protocols. Micro‐computed tomography (micro‐CT) allows for nondestructive, high‐resolution three‐dimensional (3D) analysis of extracted teeth, enabling precise evaluation of root canal morphology ...

Revision of basal macropodids from the Riversleigh World Heritage Area with descriptions of new material of Ganguroo bilamina Cooke, 1997 and a new species [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The relationship of basal macropodids (Marsupialia: Macropodoidea) from the Oligo-Miocene of Australia have been unclear. Here, we describe a new species from the Bitesantennary Site within the Riversleigh's World Heritage Area (WHA), Ganguroo bites n ...

Characterisation of the Mesial Root and Middle Mesial Canal Morphology in Mandibular First Molars: An Ex Vivo Micro‐CT Study

open access: yesAustralian Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This ex vivo study characterised the mesial root morphology of mandibular first molars with a middle mesial canal (MMC) using micro‐CT. Among 469 scanned molars, 42 (8.96%) presented an MMC. Morphological parameters analysed included canal configuration, chamber orifice features, dentine thickness, isthmus type, and aspect ratio.

Virtual reality and haptic simulation in modern microsurgical endodontics: Case report and proof of concept

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Aim To highlight the development and application of a novel virtual reality (VR) haptic simulation program in endodontic microsurgery (EMS) to prepare for a clinical case performed by a resident student. Summary Modern EMS requires adequate training and a learning curve for mastering surgical techniques and refining individual skills.
