Seismic stratigraphy of the Ontong Java Plateau [PDF]
The Ontong Java Plateau, a large, deep-water carbonate plateau in the western equatorial Pacific, is an ideal location for studying responses of carbonate sedimentation to the effects of changing paleoceanographic conditions.

Gljúfurárjökull, located on the Tröllaskagi Peninsula in northern Iceland, is a small glacier approximately 3.8 km in length. This study analyses the glacier's evolution through a combination of methods including: (i) geomorphological mapping, (ii) Cosmic‐Ray Exposure (CRE) dating, (iii) lichenometry and (iv) palaeoglacier reconstruction (volume ...

Isotope geochemistry and petrogenesis of peralkaline Middle Miocene ignimbrites from central Sonora: relationship with continental break-up and the birth of the Gulf of California [PDF]
Middle Miocene peralkaline ignimbrites constitute a specific geodynamic marker of the early stage of opening of the Gulf of California, preserved either in central Sonora or the Puertecitos area, in Baja California.

Bears deviate from the inhibitory cascade model (ICM) during molar size evolution, with two significant deviations linked to changes in diet: Ursus minimus and Ursus deningeri. Many bears exhibit a ‘partial ICM’, highlighting the relationship between relative molar size, dietary adaptations and dental development across different species.

MIDDLE MIOCENE OSTRACODS FROM THE SALENTINE PENINSULA
The ostracod faunas of the S. Caterina and S. Maria al Bagno sections (Salentine Peninsula, Apulia) were studied. These sections comprise the lower and middle levels of the Pietra Leccese formationand range collectively from the uppermost Burdigalian or the lower Langhian to the middle Serravallian.

Timing of the Middle Miocene Badenian Stage of the Central Paratethys
A new and precisely defined chronometric subdivision of the Badenian (Middle Miocene, regional stage of Central Paratethys) is proposed. This uses global events, mainly geomagnetic polarity reversals as correlated chronometric boundaries, supported by ...

We summarize the current state of knowledge on the age of the Middle Pleistocene ice advances into northern central Europe and provide 25 new single‐grain feldspar luminescence ages of Elsterian and Saalian glacigenic sediments to constrain the age of the ice advances and their tentative correlation with marine isotope stages/substages.
