Middle Pleistocene vertebrate fauna from Cretone (Sabina, Latium).
2003A fossil vertebrates assemblage has been discovered near the Cretone spa (Sabina, Latium). The fauna can be referred to the late Middle Pleistocene (Torre in Pietra F.U., Aurelian Mammal Age). Several taxa of small and large mammals and the avifauna testify temperate-cold climatic conditions and a woody environment with several open spaces.
