Decoupling of morphological disparity and taxic diversity during the adaptive radiation of anomodont therapsids [PDF]
Adaptive radiations are central to macroevolutionary theory. Whether triggered by acquisition of new traits or ecological opportunities arising from mass extinctions, it is debated whether adaptive radiations are marked by initial expansion of taxic ...

Intercalibration of Boreal and Tethyan timescales: the magneto-biostratigraphy of the Middle Triassic and the latest Early Triassic from Spitsbergen, Arctic Norway [PDF]
An integrated bio-magnetostratigraphic study of the latest Early Triassic to the upper parts of the Middle Triassic, at Milne Edwardsfjellet in central Spitsbergen, Svalbard, allows a detailed correlation of Boreal and Tethyan biostratigraphies.

Permian and Triassic Paleogeography of the Eastern Klamath Arc and Eastern Hayfork Subduction Complex, Klamath Mountains, California: Evidence from Lithotectonic Associations and Detrital Zircon [PDF]
Middle Permian and Middle Triassic volcanic-hypabyssal intrusive complexes form ensimatic arc deposits in the eastern Klamath terrane. Sedimentary matrix melange with blocks of sandstone, chert, and Tethyan fauna-bearing limestone compose the westward-

Middle Triassic holothurians from northern Spain
An abundant fauna of well-preserved holothurians is described from the Middle Triassic (Ladinian) of Collbato, northern Spain. Three new genera and species are represented, Strobilothyone rogenti, a heterothyonid, Monilipsolus mirabilis, a psolid, and Collbatothuria danieli an aspidochirote of uncertain familial affinities.

Biomineralization is a generic term used to indicate biological‐mediated mineral formation. In carbonate mineralization, nucleation of crystals can be: (1) controlled directly by the organisms, like in the skeletal formation of most metazoans; (2) induced by microbial communities, by indirect precipitation mediated by their metabolic activities; or (3)

Evolution and relationships of the conifer seed cone telemachus: Evidence from the triassic of antarctica [PDF]
The seed cone Telemachus is known from several Triassic localities in Gondwana. New specimens from two localities in Antarctica provide additional information about the type species, Telemachus elongatus, based on details of morphology and anatomy ...
