This book offers a completely new analysis of the syntax and semantics of transitive reflexive sentences in German, which is embedded in the major phenomenon of the middle voice in Indo-European languages. This paper examines a derivational verbal affix in Estonian, traditionally called a marker of detransitivisation or reflexivisation. The paper argues that this affix is a middle marker, and that Estonian middle semantics generally fits into the domain of the middle voice as described in Kemmer (1993).

Fewer have received any formal preparation in the instructional and organizational needs of a middle school. This qualitative study focuses on middle school principals’ perceptions of their pre-service preparation and professional development.
