Midline incision retroperitoneal aortobifemoral bypass

open access: yesJournal of Vascular Surgery Cases and Innovative Techniques
Transperitoneal and traditional retroperitoneal approaches through a flank incision both have advantages and disadvantages. This report suggests a third approach, a retroperitoneal aortobifemoral bypass through a midline abdominal incision. This approach

Phosphorylation‐Facilitated CKB Lactylation At K11 By GCN5 Enhances Creatine Kinase Activity and Mitigates Neuronal Damage After Cerebral Ischemia‐Reperfusion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study uncovers hierarchical coordination between K11 lactylation and S199 phosphorylation of CKB in cerebral ischemia‐reperfusion injury. Such dual modifications potentiate CKB enzymatic function, remodel energy metabolism, alleviate oxidative stress and neuronal damage, and represent a viable therapeutic target for stroke treatment.

Comparison of the Severity of Injection Pain and Success in Spinal Anesthesia of Elderly Patients by Midline and Paramedian Approaches

open access: yesمجله دانشکده پزشکی اصفهان, 2011
The side effects of general anesthesia increase by ageing. Considering the inability of elderly patients to cooperate with anesthesiologist for implementation of spinal anesthesia, this study was conducted to compare the severity of injection pain and ...

Innovative Dental Midline Correction by En Masse Arch Derotation via Miniscrews [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Orthodontics
Aim: Unilateral premolar extraction is one of the more complex and controversial orthodontic treatment modalities and may lead to adverse sequelae such as midline deviation, occlusal canting, transverse discrepancies, and arch asymmetry.

A Toolkit for Targeted Neuromodulation of Striatal Direct Pathway Neurons Rescues Parkinsonian Motor Deficits in Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An adeno‐associated virus (AAV) toolkit enables selective anatomical and functional targeting of striatal D1‐MSNs through retrograde transduction. Enhanced capsids and engineered enhancers drive robust transgene expression across murine and primate models.

Friend, Not Foe: Lowered Tissue Reactivity to Long‐Term Polyimide Implants

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The choice of optimal neural probe designs remains a major challenge in the field of neurotechnology. This study investigated the biocompatibility of several probe variations, including material, thickness, width, and implantation strategy. It highlights the clear advantage of soft polyimide probes over stiff silicon probes for better device ...

An Imaging Anatomical Study on Percutaneous Kyphoplasty for Lumbar via a Unilateral Transverse Process-Pedicle Approach

open access: yesGlobal Spine Journal, 2014
Introduction Objective The aim of the study is to investigate the anatomical feasibility of percutaneous kyphoplasty for lumbar osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures via a unilateral transverse process-pedicle approach (TPA). Summary of Background

Single‐Cell Annotation and Localization via Integrating Spatial Transcriptomics Maps the Mouse Ocular Atlas and RAO Dynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We developed the ASCAL pipeline, integrating complementary spatial transcriptomics, to construct a high‐fidelity mouse whole‐eye single‐cell atlas. Applying ASCAL to a retinal artery occlusion (RAO) model revealed spatially restricted immune activation localized to the ganglion cell layer and the selective depletion of a translationally active, outer ...
