Numerical Experiment of Rising of Ultramafic and Mafic Rocks by Squeezing

open access: yesAntarctic Record, 1980
Two mechanisms for the rising of plutonic rocks in terms of their origins are plausible. One is the rising resulted from the buoyancy of acid plutons, e. g. granite and migmatite which are lighter in density, being 2.67 and 2.76 respectively.

Chemical differentiation during early paleozoic crustal anatexis in south China and implications for niobium enrichment in the source

open access: yesSolid Earth Sciences
Migmatites can record the complex melting processes during crustal anatexis, and investigating their petrogenesis is crucial for deciphering the chemical differentiation processes of continental crust.

Link Migmatites to Granitic Body

open access: yesJournal of Geography (Chigaku Zasshi), 1997
Five problems of anatexites and granites have been discussed to study the generation of granitic body. The first is that partial melting takes place in non-equilibrium conditions originated from element-transfer in crystal and from melt-migration in migmatite. Minerals in non-equilibrium relation generally coexist in a migmatite.

From migmatites to granitoids

open access: yes
Melting processes in the continental crust are responsible for crust formation and recycling, and play an important role in heat transport. A better understanding of these processes can shed light on crustal differentiation and continental growth throughout the Earth’s history. This thesis focuses on three major key aspects of the link between the melt
