Ascent of migmatites of a high-temperature metamorphic complex due to buoyancy beneath a volcanic arc: a mid-Cretaceous example from the eastern margin of Eurasia

open access: yes, 2019
Mixtures of melt and residue in a high-T metamorphic complex have a lower density and viscosity than the surrounding host crust, and the mixtures should ascend due to buoyancy.

Rare-metal mineralization and crust-derived magmatism in a collisional orogen: the Variscan metallogenic odyssey of the Sioule region (French Massif Central)

open access: yesBSGF - Earth Sciences Bulletin
The Sioule region in the northern part of the French Massif Central of the Variscan belt hosts the Echassières complex, where a large W(-Sn) quartz vein system was intruded by the Beauvoir rare-metal granite (RMG) hosting disseminated Sn, Nb-Ta and Li ...

Partial Melting and Crustal Deformation during the Early Paleozoic Wuyi–Yunkai Orogeny: Insights from Zircon U-Pb Geochronology and Structural Analysis of the Fuhuling Migmatites in the Yunkai Region, South China

open access: yes, 2019
Migmatites record crucial information about the rheology and tectonothermal evolutionof the deep crust during orogenesis. In the Wuyi–Yunkai orogen in South China, migmatites at Fuhuling record Early Paleozoic high temperatures and associated ...

High-alumina gneisses of the Chupa Formation in the Belomorian Mobile Belt: metamorphic conditions, partial melting, and the age of migmatites

open access: yesЗаписки Горного института
Migmatized gneisses of the Chupa paragneiss Formation in the Belomorian Mobile Belt (BMB) of the Fennoscandian Shield have been studied, and the conditions of partial melting during high-grade metamorphism of the rocks were determined.

Metamorphic evolution of Palaeoproterozoic anatectic migmatites in the eastern part of the Aravalli–Delhi Fold Belt, India: constraints from thermodynamic modelling and monazite dating

open access: yes, 2017
Garnetiferous pelitic to psammopelitic migmatites widespread across the central and eastern part of the Aravalli–Delhi Fold Belt in NW India record two distinct orogenies, e.g. the Aravalli Orogeny (1.7–1.6 Ga) and the Delhi Orogeny (1.0 Ga).

Structural successions used to compare tectonic histories of Svecofennlian migmatites from widely separated outcrops in southern Finland

open access: yes, 2007
A study has been made to test the likelihood that migmatites cropping out in the Finnish Archipelago have undergone a different, similar, or identical, tectonic history to those in small, poorly exposed inland areas of the forested region further east in

Evidences of ductile to brittle deformation and syn-tectonic emplacement on the Neoarchean granitoids, Nalgonda area, Eastern Dharwar craton, southern India

open access: yesDiscover Geoscience
Situated at the Eastern Dharwar craton in India, the Nalgonda area consists of Neoarchean granitoid plutons variably deformed and intruded by few mafic rocks.

Link Migmatites to Granitic Body

open access: yesJournal of Geography (Chigaku Zasshi), 1997
Five problems of anatexites and granites have been discussed to study the generation of granitic body. The first is that partial melting takes place in non-equilibrium conditions originated from element-transfer in crystal and from melt-migration in migmatite. Minerals in non-equilibrium relation generally coexist in a migmatite.
