Artificial Intelligence Predictions in Huge Chemical Spaces: Chiroptical Properties of [6]‐helicene Family

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study shows that a local, data‐driven AI model can accurately predict diverse optical and chiroptical properties of [6]helicenes using information from close structural neighbours. Combined with genetic algorithms, it enables inverse design for tailored properties, establishing practical structure–property rules for efficient molecular discovery ...

Covalent Reprogramming of Kinase Binders to Modulate Protein Abundance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Electrophilic remodeling of a broad‐spectrum kinase binder reveals how subtle chemical changes reprogram protein fate. An acrylamide analog of a multi‐kinase binder selectively stabilizes Aurora kinase A (AURKA) by suppressing its ubiquitination, while a short‐linker variant converts this stabilizer into a degrader.

Modification of the masses of the lightest neutral mesons in a hadronic medium under an external magnetic field [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The effective masses of the neutral mesons in a hadronic medium and under an external magnetic field are evaluated as functions of the baryonic density and the field intensity.

Noninvasive Focal Gene Delivery into the Cerebellum of Non‐Human Primates using Focused Ultrasound

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Focal and non‐invasive viral vector delivery in non‐human primates remains a major challenge in translational neuroscience. Low‐intensity focused ultrasound was used to transiently open the blood–brain barrier and enable targeted gene delivery to the cerebellum.

Temperature‐Driven Emission Redistribution of Yb2+ in SrB4O7 Enables Highly Sensitive Optical Thermometry Supported by Multiple Linear Regression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel optical thermometer exploits the rare UV emission of Yb2+ ions in a SrB4O7 host, enabling highly sensitive, non‐contact temperature measurements from 80 to 420 K. The applied multiple linear regression (MLR) analysis results in a multiple increase in the resulting temperature sensitivity.

Red nucleus and rubrospinal tract disorganization in the absence of Pou4f1

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroanatomy, 2015
The red nucleus is a neuronal population that plays an important role in forelimb motor control and locomotion. Histologically it is subdivided into two subpopulations, the parvocellular red nucleus located in the diencephalon and the magnocellular red ...

Bayesian Optimization Guiding the Experimental Mapping of the Pareto Front of Mechanical and Flame‐Retardant Properties in Polyamide Nanocomposites

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Bayesian optimization enabled the design of PA56 system with just 8 wt% additives, achieving limiting oxygen index 30.5%, tensile strength 80.9 MPa, and UL‐94 V‐0 rating. Without prior knowledge, the algorithm uncovered synergistic effects between aluminum diethyl‐phosphinate and nanoclay.

A Negatively Curved Pyrene‐Fused Azaacene

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A pyrene‐fused azaacene derivative is reported in which steric overcrowding caused by eight phenyl substituents induces bending of the aromatic framework rather than twisting. ABSTRACT Non‐planar aromatic hydrocarbons display distorted π‐frameworks that give rise to unique optoelectronic properties.

Determination of Botanical Origin of Propolis from Monte Region of Argentina by Histological and Chemical Methods

open access: yesNatural Product Communications, 2016
Propolis production by honey bees is the result of a selective harvest of exudates from plants in the neighborhood of the hive. This product is used in Argentina as a food supplement and alternative medicine.
