Critical Issues of Chemical Kinetics in MILD Combustion

open access: yesFrontiers in Mechanical Engineering, 2020
Mild combustion processes occur with mixtures highly diluted and preheated by a strong recirculation of hot exhausted gases (thus mass and sensible enthalpy) within the combustion chamber.

MILD combustion of oxygen fuel burner using impinging jet method

open access: yesJournal of Thermal Science and Technology, 2019
The possibility of oxygen-MILD combustion without preheating of oxidants is assessed numerically and experimentally in this paper. For the formation of oxygen-MILD combustion, jet impingement method was employed to enhance the internal recirculation flow

Numerical study of hydrogen mild combustion

open access: yesThermal Science, 2009
In this article a combustor burning hydrogen and air in mild regime is numerically studied by means of computational fluid dynamic simulations. All the numerical results show a good agreement with experimental data. It is seen that the flow configuration is characterized by strong exhaust gas recirculation with high air preheating temperature.

MILD pulverized combustion technology: The latest research progress and key scientific issues

open access: yesMeitan xuebao
The MILD combustion is a combustion mode that occurs in a moderate or extremely low oxygen environment, combining the advantages of high combustion heat utilization and very low NOx emissions, and is considered by the international combustion field to be

Stable foliations near a traveling front for reaction diffusion systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We establish the existence of a stable foliation in the vicinity of a traveling front solution for systems of reaction diffusion equations in one space dimension that arise in the study of chemical reactions models and solid fuel combustion.

Optical sensing for MILD Combustion monitoring

open access: yesFuel, 2023
Sustainable thermochemical conversion processes require new monitoring and control strategies relying on proper diagnostics methodologies capable of reconstructing the reactive state as a function of the operational conditions with a reasonable low cost. This requirement pushes for the re-thinking of combustion diagnostics strategies.

Microstructural Characterization of Shrouded Plasma-Sprayed Titanium Coatings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Titanium and its alloys are often used for corrosion protection because they are able to offer high chemical resistance against various corrosive media. In this paper, shrouded plasma spray technology was applied to produce titanium coatings.

CCVD synthesis of carbon nanotubes from (Mg,Co,Mo)O catalysts: influence of the proportions of cobalt and molybdenum [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Carbon nanotubes have been synthesised by catalytic chemical vapour deposition of a H2–CH4 mixture (18 mol% CH4) over (Mg,Co,Mo)O catalysts. The total amount of cobalt and molybdenum has been kept constant at 1 cat% and the proportion of molybdenum with ...
