Multifunctional Eutectic Mixtures Enable Integrated Recovery of U, Pu, and Sr From Nuclear Waste

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel class of multifunctional eutectic mixtures, crafted from crown ether and organophosphorus molecules, achieves highly efficient, simultaneous recovery of uranium, plutonium, and strontium from nuclear waste. The material operates via a dual “coordination‐encapsulation” mechanism within self‐assembled reverse‐micelle structures, offering a ...

Controlling Photochromism of Donor‐Acceptor Stenhouse Adducts on Micro‐Dot Arrays Beyond Human‐Eyes Resolution for Dynamic Light Encryption

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a micro‐dot array strategy for dynamic light encryption, utilizing DASA‐based photochromism with resolution beyond human‐eye capacity. By precisely controlling isomerization kinetics, the method reveals multi‐layered encrypted information under specific light irradiation, enhancing information security and anti‐counterfeiting ...

Electrostatic Self‐Assembly Induced Nest‐Like MXene Networks on Fabric for Ultra‐Broadband Flexible Absorption

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, an electrostatically self‐assembled WPU‐MXene@FC flexible fabric constructs a “nest‐like” structure on fibers, building construct MXene multiple loss paths, achieving ultra‐wideband absorption of 25.3–1200 GHz in a thickness of 1.8 mm, while also exhibiting superhydrophobicity, acid and alkali resistance, and bending resistance ...

Resolving Oxidative and Corrosive Calendar‐Aging via Electrolyte Engineering for Stable Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A weakly solvating ether solvent, 1,2‐dimethoxypropane (DMP), is proposed for use in localized high‐concentration electrolytes (LHCEs) for lithium metal batteries (LMBs). These DMP‐based LHCEs simultaneously suppress lithium metal corrosion and cathode degradation—two interrelated processes that accelerate calendar aging of LMBs.
