Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation of the mPFC Ameliorates Stress‐Induced Hyperalgesia by Alleviating Microglia Activation in Rats

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is a noninvasive neuromodulation technique that uses magnetic fields to stimulate or inhibit specific populations of neurons in the brain. rTMS targeting the cortex has emerged as an effective treatment for chronic pain.

The Tree of Life Synagogue Attack: A Terrorist Radicalization Assessment Protocol‐18 Examination of Pre‐Attack Warnings and Post‐Attack Contagion and Copycat Effects

open access: yesBehavioral Sciences &the Law, Volume 44, Issue 4, Page 619-635, July/August 2026.
ABSTRACT This is a retrospective case study of an antisemitic lone actor terrorist who completed the deadliest attack against the Jewish community in American history. The analysis through the lens of the Terrorist Radicalization Assessment Protocol (TRAP‐18) finds that 72% of the warning indicators were present, including four proximal warning ...

Application of a Combined Transcriptomics and Proteomics Analysis Approach to Explore Potential Mechanisms of Biomarkers in NIHL

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 8, August 2026.
This study performed a time‐series analysis of cochlear tissues from mice prior to noise exposure (CN) and at 1, 14, and 28 days post‐exposure. Through the integration of transcriptomics and proteomics techniques, we identified dynamically differentially expressed genes (DEGs) and proteins (DEPs).

VMAT‐DAT‐Dopamine Regulatory System Involved in the Protective Effect of 3‐n‐Butylphthalide Against Ischemic Stroke

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 8, August 2026.
Proposed mechanism underlying NBP protection against ischemic stroke. NBP exerts neuroprotection against cerebral ischemic injury partially via upregulating the VMAT‐DAT‐dopamine cycle to improve synaptic dysfunction. Activation of D1R and adenosine A1Rs participates in the relevant downstream signalling cascades.
