Cost of Production and Competitiveness for Production of Milk in Nepal
2018Nepal is a developing country located in South Asia with high economic dependency on agriculture. Eighty percent of the population works in the agricultural sector, generating 40% of the GDP. Livestock is an important part of mixed farming with dairy generating about two-thirds of the livestock GDP.

Costs of Organic Milk Production on U.S. Dairy Farms
Review of Agricultural Economics, 2009The impact of organic participation on milk production costs is evaluated using data from a nationwide survey of dairy operations. Organic dairies have estimated costs about $5 to $8 per cwt higher than conventional dairies. They also receive an average milk price premium of $6.69 per cwt in 2005.
