Passive RFID at Millimeter Waves
This paper introduces a novel way to implement passive RF identification (RFID) at millimeter waves. Passive operation is achieved by adding an external mixing element between the tag antenna and a standard RFID chip. The mixing element converts the RFID reader signal from millimeter waves to RFID carrier frequency-the RFID chip operates as usual ...

Mg–Zn composites with a thickness of 0.21 mm were fabricated using roll bonding of a kirigami‐patterned Mg alloy inlay within a Zn matrix. Thermal activation following this process led to the formation of tailored intermetallic structures, which provided the composite with enhanced flexural strength.

Artificial dielectric devices for variable polarization compensation at millimeter and submillimeter wavelengths [PDF]
Variable polarization compensation has been demonstrated at 100 GHz. The device consists of two interlocking V-groove artificial dielectric gratings that produce a birefringence that varies with the separation distance. A maximum retardance of 74/spl deg/

A simplified thermoplastic pultrusion model is developed to predict thermal fields in glass fiber/polyethylene terephthalate (GF/PET) composites with reduced computational cost. By combining effective material homogenization, validation against literature data, and Gaussian‐process‐based optimization, the study reveals how heating limits, pulling speed,
