Consolidate Overview of Ribonucleic Acid Molecular Dynamics: From Molecular Movements to Material Innovations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Molecular dynamics simulations are advancing the study of ribonucleic acid (RNA) and RNA‐conjugated molecules. These developments include improvements in force fields, long‐timescale dynamics, and coarse‐grained models, addressing limitations and refining methods.

Temperature Rise Characteristics of Silicon Avalanche Photodiodes in Different External Capacitance Circuits Irradiated by Infrared Millisecond Pulse Laser

open access: yesCrystals, 2021
We experimentally studied the interaction between a millisecond pulse laser and silicon avalanche photodiode (Si-APD) in an external capacitance circuit.

The high-energy emission of millisecond pulsars [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
This chapter provides a phenomenological appraisal of the high-energy emission of millisecond pulsars. We comment on some of their properties as a population, as well as consider the especial cases of transitional pulsars, other redbacks, and black widow systems.

Challenges in Explaining the Galactic Center Gamma-Ray Excess with Millisecond Pulsars [PDF]

open access: yesJCAP 1506 (2015) 06, 043, 2014
Millisecond pulsars have been discussed as a possible source of the gamma-ray excess observed from the region surrounding the Galactic Center. With this in mind, we use the observed population of bright low-mass X-ray binaries to estimate the number of millisecond pulsars in the Inner Galaxy.

The early life of millisecond magnetars [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 2019
Some neutron stars may be born spinning fast and with strong magnetic fields---the so-called \emph{millisecond magnetars}. It is important to understand how a star's magnetic axis moves with respect to the spin axis in the star's early life, as this effects both electromagnetic and gravitational wave emission.

Impacts of Device Geometry and Layout on Temperature Profile during Large‐Area Photonic Curing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The study investigates how gate geometry affects peak curing temperature during photonic curing of solution‐processed indium zinc oxide thin‐film transistors. Using 3D simulations and experimental validation, it reveals that larger gate areas and smaller aspect ratios increase curing temperature and thus improve transistor performance. Findings provide

Ultra‐Fast Non‐Volatile Resistive Switching Devices with Over 512 Distinct and Stable Levels for Memory and Neuromorphic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A materials and device design concept that comprises a self‐assembled ultra‐thin epitaxial ion‐transporting layer, an amorphous oxide overcoat oxygen‐blocking layer, and a partial filament formed during an electroforming step is proposed for low‐current multilevel resistive switching devices.

Spacetime in the brain: rapid brain network reorganization in visual processing and recovery

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Functional connectivity networks (FCN) are the physiological basis of brain synchronization to integrating neural activity. They are not rigid but can reorganize under pathological conditions or during mental or behavioral states. However, because mental

The characteristics of millisecond pulsar emission: I. Spectra, pulse shapes and the beaming fraction [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
We have monitored a large sample of millisecond pulsars using the 100-m Effelsberg radio telescope in order to compare their radio emission properties to the slowly rotating population. With some notable exceptions, our findings suggest that the two groups of objects share many common properties.

Versatile Selective Soldering via Molten Metal Printing for Heat‐Sensitive 3D Electronics and Smart Wearables

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Selective soldering via molten metal printing enables component integration, even in heat‐sensitive applications across fields like additive manufacturing, sustainable electronics, and smart textiles. This method overcomes the temperature limitations of existing technologies.
