A Biomimetic Buffering Hydrogel Scaffold for Long‐Term Culture of Patient‐Derived Tumor Organoids
A biomimetic fibrous buffering hydrogel controls the local acidification at the tumoroid/hydrogel interface at the physiologically relevant level over 21‐day culture. The buffering effect promotes cancer cell proliferation in the tumoroids and supports the structural integrity and mechanical properties of the hydrogel scaffold over long‐term tumoroid ...

Metamimetic Games : Modeling Metadynamics in Social Cognition [PDF]
Imitation is fundamental in the understanding of social system dynamics. But the diversity of imitation rules employed by modelers proves that the modeling of mimetic processes cannot avoid the traditional problem of endogenization of all the choices ...

René Girard a jeho mimetická teorie společnosti jako možné východisko k nové sociologické teorii
The presented article introduces René Girard’s thought, especially the main components of his mimetic theory of culture. The author identifies in Girard’s work two main lines of thought: firstly, the part which covers the psychosocial effects of mimetism

Reconstruction of mimetic gravity in a non-singular bouncing universe from quantum gravity
We illustrate a general reconstruction procedure for mimetic gravity. Focusing on a bouncing cosmological background, we derive general properties that must be satisfied by the function $f(\Box\phi)$ implementing the limiting curvature hypothesis.

Intrinsically disordered protein‐inspired nanovectors (IDP‐NVs) form stable nanocoacervates (NCs) with diverse biomacromolecules. In situ conformational changes confer stability and adaptability to NCs under dynamically changing physiological conditions.

Mimetic Einstein-Cartan-Sciama-Kibble (ECSK) gravity
In this paper, we formulate the Mimetic theory of gravity in first-order formalism for differential forms, i.e., the mimetic version of Einstein-Cartan-Sciama-Kibble (ECSK) gravity.

Isotropic stellar model in mimetic theory
AbstractWe investigate how to derive an isotropic stellar model in the frame of mimetic gravitational theory. Recently, this theory has gained big interest due to its difference from Einstein’s general relativity (GR), especially in the domain non-vacuum solutions.

A new approach to extracellular matrix‐mimetic, hierarchical biomaterials is presented. Soft gels composed of overpacked hydrogel microparticle arrays present a biomolecularly crowded environment permissive to the self‐assembly of collagen networks.

Why Global Integration May Lead to Terrorism: An Evolutionary Theory of Mimetic Rivalry [PDF]
We study the emergence of the recent form of terrorism using evolutionary game theory. The model is an economic interpretation of René Girard's theory of mimetic rivalry. This theory presents terrorism as the result of competition between countries, when

Reissner-Nordstr\"om Black Holes in Mimetic $F(R)$ Gravity
In this paper we study under which conditions the Reissner-Nordstr\"om-anti de Sitter black hole can be a solution of the vacuum mimetic $F(R)$ gravity with Lagrange multiplier and mimetic scalar potential. As we demonstrate, the resulting picture in the
