Synchronization for MIMO OFDM systems
GLOBECOM'01. IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference (Cat. No.01CH37270), 2002This paper proposes a time and frequency synchronization technique for a Q transmit and L receive (Q/spl times/L), MIMO OFDM system. The synchronization is achieved using training symbols which are simultaneously transmitted from Q transmit antennas. The training symbols are directly modulatable orthogonal polyphase sequences.

This paper derives a new MIMO-OFDM system. This system adopts time-reversal space-time block coding (TR-STBC) to replace STBC proposed by Alamouti. When TR-STBC is combined with orthogonal frequency multiplexing (OFDM), the computation complexity is lower than other MIMO-OFDM schemes.

In the first chapter, we introduce the MIMO-OFDM system, in Rayleigh frequency selective-channels. Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) has been adopted in the wireless local-area network (WLAN) standards IEEE 802.11a [1] (IEEE 802.11a standard, ISO/IEC 8802-11:1999/Amd 1:2000(E)) and IEEE 802.11g [2] (IEEE 802.11g standard, Further Higher-

Compressed MIMO-OFDM channel estimation
2010 IEEE 12th International Conference on Communication Technology, 2010Pilot-symbol-aided channel estimation (PSACE) method is mostly employed to acquire channel state information in wireless communication systems. By exploiting the coherent sparsity of the fading channels, compressive sensing (CS) based channel estimation method can greatly decrease the pilot overhead burden.

Intercarrier interference in MIMO OFDM
2002 IEEE International Conference on Communications. Conference Proceedings. ICC 2002 (Cat. No.02CH37333), 2002We examine multicarrier transmission over time-varying channels. We first develop the model for such a transmission scheme and focus particularly on OFDM-based schemes. We analyze the impact of time-variation within a transmission block which could arise both from Doppler spread of the channel and from synchronization errors.

Antenna selection for MIMO-OFDM systems
Signal Processing, 2008In this paper, a new subcarrier-by-subcarrier antenna selection scheme for a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) space-frequency block coded (SFBC) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system concatenated with a turbo product code is presented.

MIMO/OFDM convex optimization applications
2012 IEEE Long Island Systems, Applications and Technology Conference (LISAT), 2012Convex optimization techniques are widely used in the design and analysis of variety of problems especially in communications and signal processing. Many communication problems can either be defined as or be converted into convex optimization problems. Convex optimization makes the analysis and numerical solutions much easier.

Multicore MIMO-OFDM LTE Optimizing
2018 International Conference on Internet of Things, Embedded Systems and Communications (IINTEC), 2018The MIMO-OFDM is the prevailing candidate for 4G and 5G broadband wireless communications. This technology is widely adopted in a variety of communication standards like LTE and LTE advanced. It combines multiple inputs and multiple outputs which improves the capacity by transmitting different signals over multiple antennas and orthogonal frequency ...
