Internal wideband monopole antenna for MIMO access-point applications

2008 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2008
A MIMO system utilizing three compact wideband monopole antennas stamped from a metal plate in a wireless access point has been proposed, constructed and studied. The obtained bandwidths of the antennas all cover both the 2.4/5-GHz WLAN and 2.5/3.5/5-GHz WiMAX bands.

Triple-band MIMO Dipole Antenna for LTE Access Points

Frequenz, 2018
Abstract A MIMO dipole antenna with triple band operation for 4 G LTE femtocell is proposed. This designed dipole antenna with a regulated RL ≥ 10 dB can achieve 128/1007 MHz (18.3/39.2 %) for the LTE 700/2300/2500 MHz operating bands respectively. The measured maximum peak antenna gains and efficiencies approach 4.8/7.4 dBi and 92/88 % across 700/2300/

Cell-free massive MIMO systems utilizing multi-antenna access points

2017 51st Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems, and Computers, 2017
Cell-free massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) was recently proposed as an alternative to partitioning coverage area into cells. The main idea is to have many access points (APs) distributed over the coverage area to serve a smaller number of users. Users are served by all APs simultaneously by sharing time and frequency resources.

MIMO-configured WLAN access point antenna with high port isolation

Journal of Electromagnetic Waves and Applications, 2017
AbstractA four-element MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) antenna system utilizing planar inverted-F antenna for 5 GHz WLAN (wireless local area network, band 1: 5.15–5.35 GHz, band 2: 5.725–5.825 GHz) access point applications is presented in this paper.

Cell-free Massive MIMO with multi-antenna access points and user terminals

2020 54th Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems, and Computers, 2020
The objective of the paper is to discuss the optimization of "cell-free" massive MIMO (CF-MaMIMO), in which antennas are distributed among access points (APs) throughout the service area, specifically for the case of multiple antennas at user terminals (UTs).

Concurrent dual-band six antenna system for MIMO access points

2012 Asia Pacific Microwave Conference Proceedings, 2012
This paper presents a novel six antennas backed by a hexagon ground plane and broadside radiation for broadband dual-frequency operation. The antenna system mainly comprises an antenna ground plane and single-band antennas, among which the three antennas are designated for 2.4 and 5 GHz operation, The results show that well port isolation can be ...
