Antenna Impedance Estimation at MIMO Receivers
This paper considers antenna impedance estimation based on training sequences at MIMO receivers. The goal is to firstly leverage extensive resources available in most wireless systems for channel estimation to estimate antenna impedance in real-time. We assume the receiver switches its impedance in a predetermined fashion during each training sequence.

Evaluating the effect of antenna tilt and rotation on antenna performance in an indoor environment [PDF]
In this paper the relative performances of antenna elements are assessed by combining the measured full (3D) far-field radiation patterns of each with measured angle of arrival data for a laboratory/office space.

Capacity of MIMO Channels With Antenna Selection [PDF]
This correspondence studies the capacity of multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) channels in the presence of antenna selection. Antenna selection reduces the complexity of the radio devices and requires only a small amount of channel state feedback. For high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), we define excess rate as the constant term in the expansion of ...

Field-Theoretical Investigations of the Influence of Mutual Coupling Effects on the Capacity of MIMO Wireless Links [PDF]
We present a MIMO channel model which takes into account mutual coupling effects at the receiver and transmitter array in order to assess the influence of mutual coupling effects on the capacity of MIMO channels.

Antenna Selection for MIMO Systems with Closely Spaced Antennas
Physical size limitations in user equipment may force multiple antennas to be spaced closely, and this generates a considerable amount of mutual coupling between antenna elements whose effect cannot be neglected. Thus, the design and deployment of antenna selection schemes appropriate for next generation wireless standards such as 3GPP long term ...

Capacity evaluation of LoS-optimised and standard MIMO antenna arrays at 5.2 GHz [PDF]
In this paper, the channel capacity of MIMO communication systems is evaluated from measurements in a home environment at 5.2 GHz. The capacity performance of a novel line-of-sight (LoS)-optimised antenna array architecture is investigated and compared ...
