Adaptive widely linear processing for MIMO systems
Wireless communication systems using two or more transmit antennas and one or more receiving antennas have emerged in recent years. There are several reasons for this to be occurring, including: the increasing demand for high data rate, high user ...

Reduced Complexity Detection in MIMO Systems with SC-FDE Modulations and Iterative DFE Receivers
This paper considers a Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) system with P transmitting and R receiving antennas and different overall noise characteristics on the different receiver antennas (e.g., due to nonlinear effects at the receiver side).

In this paper, a super-wideband (SWB) printed monopole antenna has been designed and manufactured. The measured frequency band in terms of reflection coefficient is from 3.1 to 20 GHz under a -10 dB criteria, thanks to the inclusion of a taper impedance adapter.

Base station cooperation in MIMO-aided multi-user multi-cell systems employing distributed probabilistic data association based soft reception [PDF]
Inter-cell co-channel interference (CCI) mitigation is investigated in the context of cellular systems relying on dense frequency reuse. A distributed Base Station (BS) cooperation aided soft reception scheme using the Probabilistic Data Association (PDA)

High-performance WLAN architectures using MIMO technology in Line-of-Sight
This paper investigates the Packet-Error-Rate (PER) and throughput performance of WLANs in Line-of-Sight (LoS) conditions. A novel antenna array architecture is proposed as a way of overcoming the problem of excessive correlation under these conditions ...

Iterative Receiver Architectures for MIMO-OFDM [PDF]
In this paper we propose a turbo-detected multiantenna-multi-carrier receiver scheme. Following the philosophy of the turbo processing, our turbo MIMO-OFDM receiver comprises a succession of detection modules, namely the channel estimator, the space-time

Subspace Tracking Based Blind MIMO Transmit Preprocessing
In this contribution projection approximation subspace tracking using deflation (PASTD) is investigated in the context of MIMO transmit preprocessing systems by exploiting the specific property of Time Division Duplexing (TDD) techniques that the uplink ...

Mobile WiMAX: impact of mobility on the performance of limited feedback linear precoding [PDF]
The mobile WiMAX standard (802.16e) uses multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) limited feedback linear precoding to exploit the channel state information at the transmitter.

Wideband analysis of indoor MIMO channels
The application of MIMO communication systems in real environments will invariably require systems to operate over wideband channels. Although suitable techniques for processing wideband MIMO channels have been reported, their evaluation has mainly been ...
