Definition and Validation of an Exposure Measurement Method for a Typical Load of a Base Station
ABSTRACT In the context of risk communication in mobile radio, a discussion has emerged whether exposure at common load of a base station should be presented in addition to the theoretical maximum, especially with 5G massive‐MIMO. However, a reproducible measurement method for instantaneous exposure independent of the utilization of the cell has yet to

Abstract Dielectric anisotropy in ice alters the propagation of polarized radio waves, so polarimetric radar sounding can be used to survey anisotropic properties of ice masses. Ice anisotropy is either intrinsic, associated with ice‐crystal orientation fabric (COF), or extrinsic, associated with material heterogeneity, such as bubbles, fractures, and ...

Metasurface Effect on the Performance of Planar Antennas for Wireless Communications
Abstract This paper demonstrates the performance enhancement of a conventional planar antenna by incorporating metasurface (MTS) layer using a proposed unit‐cell array. The impact of MTS unit‐cell density on bit‐error‐rate (BER) and channel capacity (CC) in a point‐to‐point microwave link is investigated.
