Robust Beamforming for ISAC Systems via Probability of Detection Optimisation

open access: yesElectronics Letters, Volume 62, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
We propose a two‐step robust beamforming design for ISAC that maximises multi‐target detection probability while satisfying multi‐user SINR and per‐antenna power constraints. A sensing‐only Riemannian optimisation on the oblique manifold shapes the transmit covariance, followed by SDR‐based reconstruction to enforce communication guarantees ...

FDA‐MIMO Range and Angle Estimation Based on Hybrid Tensor Ring and CP Decomposition

open access: yesElectronics Letters, Volume 62, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
The graphical abstract illustrates the RMSE performance of range and angle estimation versus SNR for different array configurations. The proposed method consistently achieves lower estimation error than existing approaches and closely matches the Cramér‐Rao bound across the entire SNR range, demonstrating its superior accuracy.

An Unambiguous Super-Resolution Algorithm for TDM-MIMO-SAR 3D Imaging Applications on Fast-Moving Platforms

open access: yesRemote Sensing
Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) radar enjoys the advantages of a high degree of freedom and relatively large virtual aperture, so it has various forms of applications in several aspects such as remote sensing, autonomous driving and radar imaging ...

Low‐Complexity DOA Estimation: Combining VSSLMS With FFT Spectrum Estimation

open access: yesElectronics Letters, Volume 62, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This letter presents a novel, low‐complexity framework for DOA estimation. The proposed method achieves a significant reduction in computational complexity—from O(ML) to O(M log L)—compared to conventional SSE methods. Crucially, as illustrated in the accompanying figure, the method maintains high estimation accuracy, outperforming standard SSE‐based ...

Ultra‐Wideband Coupled‐Fed Loop Antenna Pair for 5G Mobile Terminals

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas &Propagation, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This paper presents an ultra‐wideband (UWB) antenna pair for 5G mobile terminals. The UWB antenna pair is composed of two coupled‐fed loop antennas with a common shorted branch, which achieves a compact size. The experimental results show that the MIMO array covers 3.3–7.8 GHz with a relative bandwidth of 81.08%, and the isolation between ports is ...

Dual‐Band Frequency Selective Surface With Good Angular Stability Based on Miniaturised Periodic Triangular Structures

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas &Propagation, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
The paper proposes a novel triangular structure dual‐band FSS and its design method. This structure offers better miniaturisation advantages. The FSS provides two passbands, with operating frequencies ranging from 1.66 to 1.79 GHz and from 3.39 to 3.96 GHz.

Analysis of Direction Finding Performance of Interferometer for Frequency Division Orthogonal MIMO Radar [PDF]

open access: yesHangkong bingqi
The spatially synthesized signal pulse of the frequency division orthogonal MIMO radar has the characteristics of time-varying envelope and space-time coupling, which provides a new possibility for actively countering direction finding of the passive ...

Multispectrally Constrained Waveform Design for MIMO Radar Direction Finding

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar &Navigation, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This paper focuses on the design of transmit waveforms for multiple‐input‐multiple‐output (MIMO) radar systems in a spectrally crowded environment. The purpose is to improve the angle estimation performance of MIMO radar by minimising the asymptotic estimation bound of multiple signal classification (MUSIC) algorithm.

Accurate detection of moving targets via random sensor arrays and Kerdock codes

open access: yes, 2013
The detection and parameter estimation of moving targets is one of the most important tasks in radar. Arrays of randomly distributed antennas have been popular for this purpose for about half a century.

Design and Optimization of Finite Alphabet Waveforms for Multiple‐Antenna Radar Covariance Matching

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar &Navigation, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This article propose a novel method for finite‐alphabet waveform generation based on constrained matrix decomposition. It also expands theoretical feasibility bounds for generating covariance matrices with binary waveforms, proves that matrices from autoregressive processes are always realizable and introduces an optimal adjustment procedure for ...
