The Journal of Wildlife Management, Volume 88, Issue 4, May 2024.Using a potential biological removal simulation approach, we determined that the Canadian licensed harvest of thick‐billed murre is consistent with conservation management objectives, as is common murre licensed harvest and fisheries bycatch. Adding estimated additional illegal harvest resulted in unstainable mortality levels in both species.
