Asymmetric single‐atom metal‐nitrogen‐carbon catalysts modulate the non‐radical pathway during peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation. A fundamental contrast was revealed between diffusible singlet oxygen (1O2) and non‐diffusible electron‐transfer pathways (ETP) in antibiotic resistance gene (ARG) degradation.

Plant‐based nanomaterials derived from alfalfa serve as dual‐function catalysts, coupling photodegradation and phytoremediation to degrade polyethylene under UV‐A light and in soil. The nanomaterials work synergistically with alfalfa and soil microbes, achieving efficient plastic breakdown without trophic transfer.

Carbon and Nitrogen Stocks in Vineyard Soils Amended with Grape Pomace Residues
Fruit crops under soil conservational management might sequester carbon (C) in soils and mitigate greenhouse gases emissions. Using grape pomace residues as soil amendment holds promise for sustainable viticulture.

Mineral-associated carbon stability weakens the soil organic carbon positive feedback to warming
Soil organic carbon (SOC) pool is the largest terrestrial carbon pool, playing a pivotal role in carbon-climate feedback. However, the response of different SOC fractions to warming remains unclear.

Drop‐location sensitivity remains a key barrier to practical droplet‐based electricity generators (DEGs). Here, a polydimethylsiloxane slippery covalently attached liquid (PDMS‐SCAL)‐coated interface promotes droplet sliding instead of splitting or bouncing, allowing stable electricity generation from randomly falling raindrops. The resulting PDMS‐SCAL‐

Multi‐Scale Bionic Structure Constructs Biomass Flame‐Retardant Thermal Insulation Foam Material
Inspired by mussel adhesion and hierarchical brick‐and‐mortar architectures, a cellulose‐based biomimetic foam is constructed by anchoring bentonite nanosheets onto a polydopamine‐decorated cellulose nanofiber network. The resulting foam combines low thermal conductivity with intrinsic flame retardancy and full biodegradability, presenting a ...

Microbial and mineral interactions decouple litter quality from soil organic matter formation
Current understanding of soil carbon dynamics suggests that plant litter quality and soil mineralogy control the formation of mineral-associated soil organic carbon (SOC).
