Silica Minerals in Interstellar Dust
Nature Physical Science, 1971THE occurrence of a broad interstellar band in the ultraviolet at 2200 A (45,000 cm–1) has been confirmed by Nandy and Seddon1. They showed that the greater the height of the 2200 A feature the greater is the reddening Δ (B-V), which in turn is related to the intensities of the optical interstellar bands.
