Regulation of lipoxygenase gene expression in potato mini-tubers by phytohormones

Russian Journal of Plant Physiology, 2010
The effects of phytohormones on the activity of lipoxygenase (LOX) and the content of 9-LOX mRNAs in potato (Solanum tuberosum L., cv. Odissei) mini-tubers were studied in model (incubation of disks cut from mini-tubers on phytohormone solutions) and vegetation (spraying with phytohormone solutions at various developmental stages) experiments. In model

Production and performance of potato mini-tubers

Euphytica, 1994
Production of mini-tubers as a source for seed potato was investigated by growing in soil micropropagated plants and micro-tubers produced from micropropagated plants. Cultures of several cultivars were initiated from indexed tubers and multiplied on modified MS medium.

STABILITY OF MICROPROPAGATED PLANTS AND MINI-TUBERS OF POTATO

Acta Horticulturae, 2000
Potato cv. `Red Pontiac was cultured and multiplied through several passages in vitro. The microplants and mini-tubers produced from two-year old in vitro cultures were investigated for phenotypic stability under glasshouse and plastic tunnel. Only one branch of a single plant among the many thousand derived from tissue culture showed variegated ...

Effect of Seasons on Subsequent Production Behavior of Small Size Potato Mini-tubers

Agricultural Research, 2018
For the effective utilization of healthy and precious planting material, one-time multiplication of extremely small mini-tubers of potato under protected conditions is an alternative option to improve the size of progeny tubers for making them suitable for field multiplication. With this objective, the extremely small potato mini-tubers, viz.

Comparison of Aeroponics and Conventional Potato Mini Tuber Production Systems at Different Plant Densities

Potato Research, 2020
Mini tubers are the starting materials of a disease-free seed potato production scheme. Low multiplication rates as well as non-homogenous tuber size distribution are considered the main constraints of a conventional mini tuber production system. In recent years, an aeroponics production system has been developed to overcome the aforementioned problems.

Multiplication Of Seed Mini Tubers From In Vitro Potato Plantlets

2017
The promising clones developed in the last stage of potato breeding should be produced with the meristem culture required for the registration experiments. Production is required to obtain a small number of seeds from the in vitro plantlets produced by the meristem culture.

Development of a prototype for classification of potato mini-tubers based on artificial vision

2009 6th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE), 2009
This article presents a methodology that was followed for the design and implementation of a new artificial vision system for the grading of potato tubers. This system uses hardware devices and algorithms used in machine vision applications. This work consists of two main stages.

EFFICIENCY OF POTATO MINI-TUBERS PRODUCTION IN PROTECTED SOIL CONDITIONS OF KOSTROMA REGION

Vestnik of Kazan State Agrarian University
In 2023, compared to 2019, the area for growing potatoes in the production sector of Kostroma region increased by 535 hectares or 40%, reaching 1870 hectares. Potato yields in the region demonstrated a steady tendency to lag behind the Russian average by 5.3-15.3%, which is 15.0-48.5 c/ha.
