Responses of Root Microbiome and Metabolome Are Linked to Crop Disease Severity

open access: yesJournal of Sustainable Agriculture and Environment, Volume 5, Issue 1, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Plant microorganisms are an essential component of the host and perform critical functions in plant development and health. Emerging evidence shows that plants use their root exudates to recruit beneficial microbes that protect them against abiotic and biotic stresses, including diseases.

Mini Tuber Production in Potato Via Aeroponic System

open access: yesTürkiye Tarımsal Araştırmalar Dergisi, 2018
The aeroponic production system is one of the new applications in soilless agriculture. This system is also an alternative seed production system for mini-tuber production of potato in terms of providing optimum growth conditions, enabling potato production to be free from diseases and pests and to make economic use of agricultural inputs. This system,

Potato dihaploids uncover diverse alleles to facilitate diploid potato breeding

open access: yesThe Plant Genome, Volume 19, Issue 1, March 2026.
Abstract Commercial potato (Solanum tuberosum) in North America is a clonal autotetraploid crop, which complicates breeding. Efforts are underway to convert potato to a diploid inbred‐hybrid crop, allowing breeders to more quickly meet market and environmental demands.

Influence of planting density of micro-plants on the number of potato mini-tubers

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science, 2020
Abstract For the first time in the conditions of the Volga-Vyatka region of the Russian Federation, we determined the parameters of planting micro-plants for the output of potato mini-tubers. The study has shown that to increase the yield of mini-tubers of potatoes, it is necessary to develop an optimal method for planting micro-plants ...
