Interconnected Porous Hydrogels with Tunable Anisotropy Through Aqueous Emulsion Bioprinting

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D bioprintable microporous bioink is developed using an aqueous two‐phase system (ATPS) composed of extracellular matrix (ECM) mimetic biopolymers. The ATPS bioink enables the fabrication of interconnected porous architectures with up to 70% porosity, supporting long‐term cell viability and 3D cell alignment, enabling a simultaneous generation of ...

A dual-band polarization independent FSS having a transparent substrate for ISM and Wi-Fi shielding [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
This paper presents a dual-band, polarization independent FSS for ISM and Wi-Fi shielding. The proposed structure has a band-stop characteristic for 2.5 and 5.1 GHz with a fractional bandwidth of 42% and 7%, respectively.

Rational Device Design and Doping‐Controlled Performance in Fast‐Response π‐Ion Gel Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
π‐Ion gel transistors (PIGTs) achieve extraordinary transconductance and stability through device configuration optimization, high‐mobility conjugated polymer selection, and hole scavenger doping. The optimized PIGTs maintain performance on flexible substrates, enabling printed, fast‐response, and wearable electronics.

Chiral Nanohoops as an Efficient Spin Polarization System

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Chiral conjugated nanohoops with a central dibenzopentalene unit exhibit 90% spin polarization at low voltage and high conductivity. These properties make them ideal components in molecular spintronics applications. Abstract A central challenge in molecular spintronics is to achieve a high spin polarization at low operating voltages and ambient ...

MAGTWIST: A Magnetically‐Driven Rotary Actuator Using a Traveling‐Wave With Integrated Stiffness Tunability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
MAGTWIST: A compact magnetic rotary actuator, enabling smooth, stepless rotation, and on‐demand locking. Inspired by peristalsis, a soft polymer belt generates a traveling‐wave, enabling 270° rotation when heated. Cooling stiffens the belt, locking it in position and enabling it to withstand high loads.

Dual-band patch antenna with filtering performance and harmonic suppression [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
A novel design of dual-band antenna with integrated filtering performance is proposed. A low-profile aperture-coupled U-slot patch antenna is employed for dual-band operation with a uniform polarization, which is fed by a dual-mode stub-loaded resonator (

SAPIL: single access point based indoor localisation using Wi-Fi L-shaped antenna array

open access: yesIET Wireless Sensor Systems, 2019
Single access point (AP) based indoor localisation (SAPIL) has attracted much attention recently. Most of the existing SAPIL systems require frequency hopping, which cannot be easily achieved in commercial APs. In response to this compelling problem, the

Gourd‐Inspired Design of Unit Cell with Multiple Gradients for Physiological‐Range Pressure Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Gourd‐shaped micro‐dome arrays with coordinated modulus, conductivity, and geometric gradients co‐optimize sensitivity and linearity in piezoresistive tactile sensors. Under pressure, a solid upper dome embeds into a porous lower dome, triggering rapid contact‐area growth and series‐to‐parallel conduction, enabling unsaturated, intensity‐resolved ...

Validation of electromagnetic field enhancement in near-infrared through Sierpinski fractal nanoantennas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Cataloged from PDF version of article. We introduced fractal geometry to the conventional bowtie antennas. We experimentally and numerically showed that the resonance of the bowtie antennas goes to longer wavelengths, after each fractalization step, which
