Transition Contour Synthesis with Dynamic Patch Transitions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In this article, we present a novel approach for modulating the shape of transitions between terrain materials to produce detailed and varied contours where blend resolution is limited.

Deobfuscation, unpacking, and decoding of obfuscated malicious JavaScript for machine learning models detection performance improvement

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, Volume 5, Issue 3, Page 184-192, September 2020., 2020
Obfuscation is rampant in both benign and malicious JavaScript (JS) codes. It generates an obscure and undetectable code that hinders comprehension and analysis. Therefore, accurate detection of JS codes that masquerade as innocuous scripts is vital. The existing deobfuscation methods assume that a specific tool can recover an original JS code entirely.

Method of determining geometric patient size surrogates using localizer images in CT

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Volume 21, Issue 3, Page 178-183, March 2020., 2020
Abstract Purpose Size‐specific dose estimates (SSDE) requires accurate estimates of patient size surrogates. AAPM Report 204 shows that the SSDE is the product of CTDIvol and a scaling factor, the normalized dose coefficient (NDC) which depends on patient size surrogates for CT axial images. However, SSDE can be determined from CT localizer prior to CT

Comparison of torsional amplitudes between emmetropes and myopes using after-image slides

open access: yesIndian Journal of Ophthalmology, 2019
Purpose: To describe the influence of corrected refractive error on measured torsional fusional amplitudes (TA) by comparing the TA between emmetropes and spectacle corrected myopes, using the after-image slides of the synoptophore, as targets.

The effect of knee resizing illusions on pain and swelling in symptomatic knee osteoarthritis: a case report

open access: yesPAIN Reports, 2019
. Introduction:. Resizing illusions that manipulate perceived body size are analgesic in some chronic pain conditions. Little is known whether such illusions may also alter other physiological features, such as swelling. Objectives:.

Monte Carlo simulation of spatial resolution of lens-coupled LYSO scintillator for intense pulsed gamma-ray imaging system with large field of view

open access: yesNuclear Engineering and Technology
In this paper, we use a Monte Carlo (MC) simulation based on Geant4 to investigate the influence of four parameters on the spatial resolution of the lens-coupled lutetium yttrium orthosilicate (LYSO) scintillator, including the thickness of the LYSO ...

Evaluation of Image Clarity in Smartglass‐Supported Dynamic Computer‐Assisted Implant Surgery: A Clinical Pilot Trial

open access: yesClinical Oral Implants Research, Volume 36, Issue 8, Page 955-964, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Objectives This study evaluated the image quality of smartglass‐supported Dynamic Computer‐Assisted Implant Surgery (dCAIS) by testing discernibility with a Landolt ring chart reproduced with smartglasses and on the dCAIS monitor. Materials and Methods 15 participants’ discernibility was measured under four conditions using Landolt rings. Each
