A New ZVS Nonisolated Bidirectional DC-DC Converter with Minimal Auxiliary Element [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Intelligent Procedures in Electrical Technology, 2013
In this paper, a new nonisolated bidirectional buck–boost dc–dc converter is introduced. The proposed converter can be operated under ZVS condition and fixed switching frequency regardless of the direction of power flow.

In vivo detection of lamellocytes in Drosophila melanogaster. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Drosophila has recently become a powerful model organism for studies of innate immunity. The cellular elements of innate immunity in Drosophila, the hemocytes, have been characterized by morphological criteria, molecular markers, and cell-type-specific ...

Using the Embedding Theorem to Solve Interval-Valued Optimization Problems

open access: yesAxioms
The space of all bounded closed intervals cannot form a vector space because the concept of an additive inverse cannot be considered. Therefore, this paper presents an embedding theorem to show that the space of all bounded closed intervals can be ...

On quasi-ideals of semirings

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1994
Several statements on quasi-ideals of semirings are given in this paper, where these semirings may have an absorbing element O or not. In Section 2 we characterize regular semirings and regular elements of semi-rings using quasi-ideals (cf. Thms.

Fatigue behavior of three thin CAD/CAM all-ceramic crown materials

open access: yesInternational Biomechanics, 2023
The purpose of this study was to study the effect of crown thickness on the fatigue life of CAD/CAM ceramic materials. CAD/CAM ceramic materials for the crown were virtually designed with three thickness designs of (a) ultra-thin occlusal crown average 0.

Numerical predictions for the effect of negative Poisson's ratio on thermoelastic properties of triply periodic minimal surface-based composites

open access: yesResults in Materials, 2022
This study investigates the effect of negative Poisson's ratio on thermoelastic properties of triply periodic minimal surfaces (TPMS)-based composites.

Characterizations of minimal elements of upper support with applications in minimizing DC functions

open access: yesOpen Mathematics
In this study, we discuss on the problem of minimizing the differences of two non-positive valued increasing, co-radiant and quasi-concave (ICRQC) functions defined on XX (where XX is a real locally convex topological vector space).

Carcinomas and Carcinoid Tumors of the Lungs and Bronchi in Children and Adolescents: The EXPeRT Recommendations

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Primary lung carcinomas and bronchial carcinoid tumors (BC) are very rare malignancies in childhood. While typical BC and mucoepidermoid carcinomas are mostly low‐grade, localized tumors with a more favorable prognosis than in adults, necessitating avoidance of overtreatment, adenocarcinomas of the lung are often diagnosed at advanced disease ...

European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline and EXPeRT Recommendations for the Diagnosis and Management of Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms in Children and Adolescents

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...
