Minimal Elements for the Prime Numbers
We say a string of symbols s is minimal for a language L if s is a member of L, and it is not possible to obtain another member of L by striking out one or more symbols from s. Although the set M(L) of minimal strings is necessarily finite, determining it explicitly for a given L can be a difficult computational problem.

Minimal elements for product orders
Optimization, 2008The aim of the present article is to generalize several results of 19 for product spaces X × V, where X is a complete metric space and V is a Banach space and to give considerably simplified proofs. Moreover, we discuss sufficient conditions for the decisive assumptions as well as an application to vector optimization problems.

A Characterization of Properly Minimal Elements of a Set
SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 1985The notion of properly minimal elements plays an important role in vector optimization. This paper characterizes the properly minimal elements of an arbitrary set in a real normal space with a partial ordering (induced by a convex cone) by the minimal solution of an appropriate approximation problem without any convexity assumption.

Minimal length elements in some double cosets of Coxeter groups
We study the minimal length elements in some double cosets of Coxeter groups and use them to study Lusztig's G-stable pieces and the generalization of G-stable pieces introduced by Lu and Yakimov.
