The Uncertainty Principle and the Minimal Space-Time Length Element

open access: yesPhysics, 2022
Quantum gravity theories rely on a minimal measurable length for their formulations, which clashes with the classical formulation of the uncertainty principle and with Lorentz invariance from general relativity. These incompatibilities led to the development of the generalized uncertainty principle (GUP) from string theories and its various ...

Hartmann Potential with a Minimal Length and Generalized Recurrence Relations for Matrix Elements [PDF]

open access: yesFew-Body Systems, 2020
In this work we study the Schrödinger equation in the presence of the Hartmann potential with a generalized uncertainty principle. We pertubatively obtain the matrix elements of the hamiltonian at first order in the parameter of deformation $β$ and show that some degenerate states are removed.

Depth in Coxeter groups of type $B$ [PDF]

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics & Theoretical Computer Science, 2015
The depth statistic was defined for every Coxeter group in terms of factorizations of its elements into product of reflections. Essentially, the depth gives the minimal path cost in the Bruaht graph, where the edges have prescribed weights. We present an

IRESbase: A Comprehensive Database of Experimentally Validated Internal Ribosome Entry Sites

open access: yesGenomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics, 2020
Internal ribosome entry sites (IRESs) are functional RNA elements that can directly recruit ribosomes to an internal position of the mRNA in a cap-independent manner to initiate translation. Recently, IRES elements have attracted much attention for their

Primordial big bang nucleosynthesis and generalized uncertainty principle

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2021
The Generalized Uncertainty Principle (GUP) naturally emerges in several quantum gravity models, predicting the existence of a minimal length at Planck scale.

MINIMAL LENGTH IN QUANTUM SPACE AND INTEGRATIONS OF THE LINE ELEMENT IN NONCOMMUTATIVE GEOMETRY [PDF]

open access: yesReviews in Mathematical Physics, 2012
We question the emergence of a minimal length in quantum spacetime, comparing two notions that appeared at various points in the literature: on the one side, the quantum length as the spectrum of an operator L in the Doplicher Fredenhagen Roberts (DFR) quantum spacetime, as well as in the canonical noncommutative spacetime (θ-Minkowski); on the other ...

Сleaning of gas emissions of boiler installations of solids

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений: Проблемы энергетики, 2020
High performance cleaning of a gas stream of solids of small diameter at small pressure losses in the device is one of key indicators at the choice of the abstersive device.

An Efficient Multicore Algorithm for Minimal Length Addition Chains

open access: yesComputers, 2019
A minimal length addition chain for a positive integer m is a finite sequence of positive integers such that (1) the first and last elements in the sequence are 1 and m, respectively, (2) any element greater than 1 in the sequence is the addition of two ...
