Probing the Dynamics Process of High‐Entropy Alloy Catalysts: Fundamentals, Synthesis, and In Situ TEM Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 45, December 4, 2025.
Schematic illustration of the basic properties, machine learning synthesis strategy, and formation under in situ TEM of HEAs. Abstract Catalysts play a crucial role in advancing green and clean energy technologies for a sustainable future. Among the various catalysts reported, high‐entropy alloys (HEAs) stand out due to their superior stability and ...

Biodiversity Buffers Phytoplankton Biomass Production Against Nanoparticle Pollution Through Increased Facilitation

open access: yesEcology Letters, Volume 28, Issue 11, November 2025.
Biodiversity can buffer ecosystems against environmental stressors, yet its role under nanoparticle pollution remains unclear. Using freshwater phytoplankton communities exposed to copper oxide nanoparticles, we show that higher species richness alleviates productivity losses through increased facilitation among species.

On some Fano manifolds admitting a rational fibration

open access: yes, 2013
Let X be a smooth, complex Fano variety. For every prime divisor D in X, we set c(D):=dim ker(r:H^2(X,R)->H^2(D,R)), where r is the natural restriction map, and we define an invariant of X as c_X:=max{c(D)|D is a prime divisor in X}.

Synthesis, Properties, and Typical Applications of MXene‐Based Heterostructure Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 12, Issue 19, October 6, 2025.
In recent years, MXene‐based heterostructure materials have achieved fruitful outcomes in multiple aspects. However, a comprehensive and systematic summary of MXene‐based heterostructures is still absent. This review summarizes the performance characteristics, synthesis methods, and the latest research progress of MXene heterostructures in several ...

Minimal Model Program with scaling and adjunction theory

open access: yes, 2012
Let (X,L) be a quasi polarized pairs, i.e. X is a normal complex projective variety and L is a nef and big line bundle on it. We study, up to birational equivalence, the positivity (nefness) of the adjoint bundles K_X + rL for high rational number r. For

Advancements in flexible memristors for neuromorphic computing: Materials, mechanisms, and applications in synaptic emulation

open access: yesFlexMat, Volume 2, Issue 3, Page 390-419, October 2025.
Memristors, as the fourth fundamental passive circuit element, are promising devices that can mimic synaptic functions in neural networks due to their nonlinear memory characteristics. This paper reviews recent advancements in material selection, resistive switching mechanisms, and flexible memristor architectures for artificial neural networks ...

Preoperative coronal alignment and tibial implant positioning affect condylar lift‐off in BCS‐TKA

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Orthopaedics, Volume 12, Issue 4, October 2025.
Preoperative alignment and tibial implant position influence condylar lift‐off in BCS‐TKA. Abstract Purpose Condylar lift‐off is the phenomenon in which the femoral component lifts off from the polyethylene insert. In some cases, the mechanical hip–knee–ankle angle (mHKAA) appears more varus than the arithmetic hip–knee–ankle angle (aHKAA) in a ...

Current Practices for Analyzing Soils and Sediments via Mössbauer Spectroscopy

open access: yesJournal of Plant Nutrition and Soil Science, Volume 188, Issue 5, Page 742-773, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Environmental scientists are increasingly returning to Mössbauer spectroscopy (MBS) to reveal details about iron (Fe)‐bearing phases in soils and sediments. MBS is particularly powerful at distinguishing between Fe(II) and Fe(III) and, given appropriate background information, can offer exceptionally precise information on Fe speciation in ...

Low degree hypersurfaces of projective toric varieties defined over a $C_1$ field have a rational point

open access: yes, 2014
Quasi algebraically closed fields, or $C_1$ fields, are defined in terms of a low degree condition. Namely, the field $K$ is $C_1$ if every degree $d$ hypersurface of the projective space $\mathbb{P}_K^n$ contains a $K$-point as soon as $d\leq n$.
